Mini Rimmel Haul

Hello Everyone!

So since I've just bought some new makeup, and most of being Rimmel, I'd thought I'd do a mini haul for you guys!
Before I start, let me just say what I had to go through to get these!
It is so windy where I live right now! And I know we don't have it as bad as tornado's and earthquakes (which some of you guys actually have to deal with), but when we get wind over here, it's like gale-force wind.
Anyway, I had to push against the force and my earphones kept on flying out and my hair was all in my face that I had to resort to tying it up.
It was not the best experience!

Anyway, enough of the back story and lets start with this haul!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation:

New foundation alert!!
So I finally brought myself to buy and try out a new foundation. Like I've said (if you've read one of my previous blog posts) I'm going through so many foundations to try them out until I find one that I want to stick with. I thought I would give this one a go next because one of my friends uses it - you can find her blog by clicking (here) - she said that it's very good, but if you have dry skin it does stick to it, which is something I can cope with. I've did some research and read some reviews about it and a lot of people said that it's good very good coverage and that it blends right into your skin, which is great!
I did have such a mishap with this because I thought I brought the wrong shade, so I was worrying about it the whole walk home, but I got in and tried it and thank god it was the right one! (Crisis averted!)
I can't wait to wear it out.

Scandaleyes Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner:

So I have so many debates to myself as to whether I should buy this or not. (Talking to myself? I know...) I'm very used to just using normal liquid eyeliner and it always seemed weird to me personally to use a pen. Some people may find it easier to use this, but it's such a huge difference for me. I thought I'd take the plunge, buy it and hope I can actually apply it!
I bought the jumbo pen because I like to have bold lines and big flicks. I feel like when I have really thin lines it doesn't really show on my eyes, so I like to draw them on thick and dramatic. (Jordan seems to like that way too).

Nail Paint:

(From L-R)

Salon Pro in Bewitched: I was actually looking for a different colour when I came across this one. I was originally looking for Foggy London and unfortunately they didn't have that in stock (don't you just hate it when that happens?), so I had to compromise and I find this colour! It is basically the same as Foggy London so that's why I bought it I guess.
60 Second Super Shine in Chin Up Buttercup: I love a bright nail paint and yellow has got to be my favourite! I saw this colour and I just had to get it. I love matching bright nail paints with dark clothes, and I wear a lot of dark clothes it seems, so I thought I'd challenge myself with this one.

So that's the end of my mini haul. I hope to do more of these in the future as I always by a lot of the same brands in bulk.
I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you guys on my next blog update!

Current Favorites // March edition

Hello Everyone! Kerri here,

So today I'm going to talk about my current favorite things.
All of this ranges from clothes, to perfume, to books.
So let's delve in...

Starting with clothing:

My Hearts and Bows Cara Tartan Check Skirt from Ark:

I absolutely love this skirt because it's so comfy and it's one of those items of clothing you have in your closet that you can match with anything. It's also something you can wear in Winter, Summer and Spring! Whether you pair it with knee high socks, or a simple pair of tights, it pulls off everything.
Costing only £19.99 it's quite a bargain if I'm honest!

Fox printed tights:

These little babies were about £4 from Primark.
I actually didn't buy these myself, Jordan's mum did, and I'm so glad she picked these up for me. I am, as you might already know, a really big animal lover and I love animal printed clothing because it always looks so cute!
I haven't actually worn these out yet (still getting an outfit together), but they are such a good thing to wear in Autumn.

Skincare:

Garnier Intense Care Multipurpose Moisturising cream:

I absolutely adore this moisturizer!
I picked this up as just a 'buy&try' and I wasn't really expecting it to really impact my skin, but I was very wrong!
The cream itself is very soft and runs smoothly over my skin. It doesn't leave my skin greasy, it just rubs right in there.
I apply it on my face and neck, but the fact that it is a multipurpose moisturizer is brilliant, and only for a £1 it's such a great bargain!

Simple Kind to Eyes, Eye Makeup Remover:

I've already mentioned this in a previous blog post, which you might have read, where i said I was very keen to try it out, and I am very happy to say that this product has worked so well for me!
Before I bought this I just used to use normal makeup remover wipes to remove all of my makeup, but it would always take me so long, and so much rubbing, to remove my eye makeup. I would also find that, having really sensitive skin, that my eyes would be left all dry, flaky and really painful to touch.
Since using this they have been so much better! They are never left dry and it just takes a couple of swipes and my eye makeup is removed straight away!

Makeup:

BarryM's Flawless Matte foundation and Perfecting Powder:

Once again I have mentioned this also in a previous post (the same one actually), and if you did read it I went on about wearing foundation again and trying this one out.
And once again I am happy with this too!
When I have the foundation on I can't feel it on my face; it feels like I'm wearing nothing. the foundation itself isn't sticky or cakey. I feel like my skin actually breathes when I have it on and it blends right into my skin that I actually had to point it out to my friends that I was wearing it before they actually noticed.
Even though I do really love this foundation, I don't think I'm going to stick to it just yet. I want to try out different brands before I stick to just one. Kind of like a trial and error.

BarryM's Nail Paint and Matte Lipstick:

Starting with the nail paint.
I am so in love with BarryM Aquarium Collection! Not only because it reminds me of mermaids (so want to be a mermaid!) but also because I love the two tone effect it has.
This particular one is called Persian (so purple&gold).
The nail paint itself looks so silky and I find that you only need to apply about two coats tops (three to make sure) for you nails to be covered. I am one away from completing the collection!

The lipstick (another mentioned in a different post) is in the color Peachy Pink, and I love this color because it's a light and beautiful color.
I've worn it so much since I've got it and it's quite an easy color to match with a lot of outfits.

Perfume:

Daisy, Marc Jacobs:

I really like the Daisy perfumes by Marc Jacobs, and though I only currently have just this one, I'm planning on getting the full collection.
The thing I love most about this particular collection is not only the perfume, but the bottles.
Daisies are my favorite flower, so it is just my luck just have perfume based around them.
I love that the perfume smells really sweet, but it's not overpowering and it lasts all day.

Book:

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children:

Okay, so the only reason I found out about this book was because one of my friends was reading this a while ago and when I went on a book buying spree, I remembered that she had it and she told me it was weird (I'm a lover of weird) and I had to get it!
I'm currently half way through the book and it has not let down my expectations!
It always keeps you wanting to read on and it always manages to get weirder and weirder.
I would definitely recommend you guys should give this a read (that is if you read of course).
I can't wait to finish it and there is also a book number two, which is Hollow City (it's already waiting on my self).

As always, thank you for taking your time to read my blog and I'll see you in my next blog post!

Big Blue?

Hello Everyone! Kerri here,

So I'm finally doing my first Lush blog post! (yay!)
This one is going to be a bath bomb post.

Today's product is going to be (as you already know) Big Blue.
This bath bomb is one of my favorites.
It contains seaweed and sea salt.

Being a lover of the sea and the ocean, it reminds me so much of floating in the sea, with seaweed swimming around me.
I suppose this particular bath bomb all comes down to personal preference.
(It's not everyone's cup of tea)

So lets throw it in there.

The first thing we witness is the blue bubbling up and creating an ocean.

As the color starts to pan out, we see the seaweed releasing and softening as it starts to dance with the water.
The smell of sea salt starts to float off and lingers beautifully in the air.
It makes me feel like I'm on a cool Brighton beach, laying on the soft, cotton sand.

(This is the bath bomb half dissolved and the seaweed escaping)

When it is completely dissolved and the water is still, it's a cool, angelic blue.
So we've got to stir it up!

Throwing your hand in the and livening up the water, we get our mini ocean.
Plunging myself in (not literally) I submerge my body, chest deep, and keep my shoulders nice and cool.
(I like to keep a window open to get a cold running breeze hitting you)
Squishing my toes into the seaweed feels like I'm padding in the water.
It's a nice and relaxing bath bomb.
Your skin is always left smelling salty, smooth and refreshed.
I would urge you guys to try it... just at least once.

As always, thank you for reading my blog and I would like you guys to tell me what your favorite bath bombs are in the comments or tweet me.
I would love to talk to you guys!

Meet The Family!

Hello Everyone! Kerri here,

So I thought it was about time I'd show you the family! (the 'family' being all my pets)

So we have four pets in total. We did have five, but our bearded dragon, George, died a couple of weeks ago. He was very old and was quite sick, so he passed away in his sleep.
Anyway, lets steer passed death.
I'll start with our two pooches.

Bandit:

Bandit is a Cavachon and he's just kicking 10 (that's 70 years old in human years!)
To describe him I would have to say that he's lazy, fluffy, fat and friendly.

He makes himself right at home with you, and lets just say his bark is bigger than his bite; he's such a big softy. He's a Grandfather, but is still such a massive baby.

Lucy:

Lucy is a Lhasa Apso and is also kicking 10 now.
To describe her I'd have to say that she is very temperamental.
She is very lovely and friendly (she absolutely loves giving hugs!) but she's so ignorant; she's kind of like an old woman.

Her and Bandit have had pups (how? I have no idea considering the size difference) and they are both Grandparent's now.
Both of them just laze about all day really, although Lucy is very motherly and looks after Bandit by cleaning his ears and eyes.

(aren't they little cuties?)

Moving on to the feisty felines.

Lily:

Lily is a white tortoiseshell cat and she's about 4 now.
She was the only we had until we got Jasmine (she was so not happy when she came), but just as normal cats do she goes out and sleeps all day.
She has her moments. For example: she absolutely loves sitting in cardboard boxes, and I have caught her napping in the bathroom sink a couple of times.

She absolutely loves her treats; all you have to do is shake the box and she's next to you in a flash. She does act like she's the queen of the house, but I suppose that's what all cats do (they don't let you forget that they were once worshiped as Gods).

Jasmine:

Now... I don't know where to start with her.
For starters she does not stay still for photographs!
We got her when she was 2 months off of one of my friends (not after I had to beg for about a month to get her). She's about 3 months now, and as you can see she's just a grey, with a hint of tabby, cat.
She is very, very, very hyper!
It's like she's constantly buzzing off sugar.
Since all of our pets are very mellow, when we first got her they didn't know how to take her (probably still don't).
We haven't had any problems with training her, as she used her litter tray straight away.
She's made her mark on the family... Lily still hates her, but loves her at the same time (it's a love/hate relationship) and the dogs have come to love her to.

I suppose she's just a bit of a handful at the moment.
She follows me around a lot (I think she see's me as her mother) and even sits with me while I take a bath.
I guess she's just at her peak where she's being a kitten, but a little more crazy.

So that was the family!
Thank you for taking your time to read my blog!

OOTD // Casual

Hello Everyone! Kerri here,

So today I'm going to be an ootd.
Since the weather isn't particularly great in Britain right now, being we are crossing over from winter and into spring, you have to dress... well warm.
I'm going for the casual look today.

First of all I'm going to start of with my Fisherman's Jumper.

Keeping it warm, but still something you can accessorize with, a crop jumper is perfect way to kick up casual. Being a tight knit, this jumper provides the warmth you need and added comfort. Not being very tight, it allows you to move and can be easily paired with choker or long necklace.
(jumper from H&M)

Jeans:

I went with some skinny jeans, black, to dress with my crop jumper.
I styled it with a normal studded belt and rolled up the ankles.

Shoes&Socks:

Footwear is key to finish your look.
I'm going with my Doc Marten's shoes, with some blue frilly/cute ankle socks.

Jacket:

To top off your casual look, wear a simple (but not to boring) jacket to complete the look.
I've gone for my Harrington Jacket to blend in with my outfit, and the green just adds a slight color.

I hope you guys enjoyed my ootd, and thank you for taking your time to read my blog!

Update!

Hello Everyone! Kerri here,

So it's been a busy week for me; college is starting to get so stressful lately!
I've had so many projects and assignments to hand it, I want to pull my hair out!
On the other hand I do have some good news!
I got some of my English assignments back, to find out I got a B+ on all of them! (so proud of myself).

So, over this weekend I went shopping again (more like I spent all of Jordan's money), and I wanted to show you guys what I bought.
Let's just jump right into this and not waste any time.

My first few purchases were from Superdrug (they actually had what I wanted this time).

My first purchase were three BarryM nail paints.

These are apart of the Speedy nail paint range, as you can see. I'm trying to get all the collection and I think I only have two more to buy until I full collection.
The first color (starting from the left) is Pit Stop. I've already worn this color and I loved the tiny hint of lilac that's in there.
The second color is Full Throttle. I am currently wearing this. I like this color because when its on it's not to vibrant. All of this range is like a selection of summer colors, which is great with summer just coming in.
The third and final color is Road Rage. I am yet to try this color on yet, but blue is one of favorite colors, so I know I'll love it.

My second and last purchase is, of course, a BarryM lipstick.

I mentioned in my last blog post that I was going to buy this along with my Peach Melba nail varnish, but I ended up having second thoughts. Well I saw it and I decided to change my mind again - plus they were having a 2 for £7 deal in Superdrug so it was kind of in my favor.
I wanted this color particularly for summer time because of the light beautiful shade.

So with Superdrug finished with, we headed over to Ark.

Ark is one of my favorite clothes shops, but sometimes it can be a bit of a let down.
let me explain:
The clothes are sometimes not made all that well (being a fashion student I've learnt how to spot all of this), and you do have return some of your clothes.
Because they sell all different brands inside the shop, it all depends on which you buy really.

Throwing all of that aside for now, I'll show you guys what I bought...

First purchase:

These Hearts&Bows jumpers were on a deal for 2 for £20 (obviously had to get them).

Second Purchase:

I was so over the moon when I found this little treasure! I've been wanting a Harrington Jacket for such a long time, but I always had the problem of not really being able to find one that fitted my taste. As I was going through the male section, I found it just sitting there.
Definitely one of my best buys!
